Brass

Brass is a women-owned, ethically manufactured apparel brand based on style, substance, and community. As part of the marketing team, our goal was to communicate Brass's values and engage their community with meaningful content. My role included working closely with the founders to create layout designs and blog graphics for product campaigns, as well as product photography (flat lays and on-body model shots).

At the time an online brand with not many in-person touch points, understanding their customers' needs, pain points, and experiences was paramount. During my summer at Brass, our team gathered and analyzed customer data through focus groups, customer FaceTimes, and a survey of more than one thousand long-time customers.

The insights gained were surprising. Many women feel that the way they dress at work is directly related to being taken seriously and their success in the workplace. Similarly, many expressed negative feelings associated with getting dressed in the morning for work, because of unclear dress codes and pressure to wear the "right" thing. Find the full report here.

Outcomes
-
Brass reached 10k followers on Instagram during the summer of 2017. The email promotions and photography I worked on helped to accurately portray Brass's products; this is essential for an (at the time) online apparel brand with many customers that will not have an opportunity to see the color or try the fit of a clothing item in person.
